I was developing a report in SSRS 2005. When I was exporting it to PDF then everything was working fine but when I was trying to export in excel then an exception was coming. Exception was:
An error occurred during rendering of the report.
Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than size of the collection.
Parameter name: index

Reason: In my page header there were three text boxes which were overlapping. During preview the ide was giving warning:

[rsOverlappingReportItems] The textbox ‘txtReportTitle’ and the textbox ‘lblTime’ overlap. Overlapping report items are not supported in all renderers.
Build complete — 0 errors, 1 warnings

Solution: I removed the overlapping and everything was working fine.
